I had so many bookish plans for January. Not only blog plans for Bookwinked, but also to bring my to-be-read book pile down a few notches, but it didn’t go according to plan. That’s okay too, because on the reading front I discovered a few gems.
My initial plan was to finally finish the Magnus Chase series (so far as published) by Ric Riordan and read a few Glass Throne books by Sarah J. Maas. For the bookish swaps I did in December, I got a few new books in the series. Then there were the Fairy Loot books I got in the last few months that I haven’t got around to reading yet.
Instead, I read up on C.S. Poe as Southernmost Murder was released and Josh Lanyon gifted me the ARC for Murder takes the High Road. Then there were a few review books I got, both through authors and through Netgalley that I read.
Usually I read more than 13 (e-)books in a month, but I also got down to a few plans that I have, most involving artsy stuff. I started a new Bullet Journal and I’m developing my aquarelle painting skills. Of course, January was also a good month for movies as we finally FINALLY got to see the last instalment in the Maze Runner series: The Death Cure. Now I can finally read the books I didn’t want to read until the movie trilogy was completely released.
I think I’ve babbeled enough about January. On to the books I’ve read.
Did you read all the books you wanted to read in January?
